About MIFEGYMISO

MIFEGYMISO is a combination pack of two (2) medications used for ending your pregnancy (mifepristone and misoprostol). This is called an abortion. MIFEGYMISO is a non-surgical option for early abortion. MIFEGYMISO is only used if your pregnancy is 63 days (9 weeks) in age, as defined by the date of your last period.

Before taking MIFEGYMISO,

  • You should be counselled by a health professional who will tell you about the chance of bleeding, the chance of infection, the chance of an incomplete abortion, and how to access additional treatment, should you require it, among other things.
  • Following counselling, you may get an ultrasound scan before being prescribed MIFEGYMISO.
  • You may get a printed copy of the MIFEGYMISO Patient Medication Information Booklet and a Patient Information Card that was completed by the health professional.
  • You must give your informed consent to take MIFEGYMISO.
